I like how everything is organized. The information is easy to follow. It provides many different authors and it tells you a lot of information. They have contact information and other websites that can help you too. They have a link where you can look up lesson plans which caught my attention right away. This would be a good place to go and get valuable ideas on how to use there books in your classroom.
Another website that I found helpful is (http://www.childrenslit.com/childrenslit/mai.html).
This website lets you meet the authors and illustrators. It gives you reviews on the specific writer. It is nice that there is a variety to choose from.
Believing In Living Literature - Chapter 1
This chapter explains what it means to live literature and how important that should be to us. We are future teachers and the books we choose play a major role in educating our children. It gives us examples and tells us how to believe in the children believing in literacy. A teacher should be just as excited about the literature as the child. As a teacher we need to find ways to use these books with the curriculum.

ReplyDeleteIt also has a wide variety of authors to choose from.
